FAQ
-
Do I need to pay for my initial consultation?
No. The initial consultation is 30 minutes to 1 hour and is free.
-
How much will legal representation cost me?
The answer to this depends on the type of case you have. Once a proper assessment is done, I can advise about the total cost of legal representation. I do not bill for humanitarian relief (Asylum, T visa, U visa, VAWA, etc.) but my ability to take these pro bono cases is limited to my capacity, as well as fundraising progress.
-
How does this process usually work?
First, there is an initial consultation. If a retainer (contract) is signed then the next step will be to gather evidence and schedule another follow up meeting to dig deeper into the particulars of your case. Expectations will be covered thoroughly once we’ve agreed to work together.
-
Is my case winnable?
This depends on the facts of your case and the type of relief or benefit you are seeking. Proper legal analysis must be done before providing advice on this question.
-
Will you be the attorney handling my case?
Yes! I am a solo practitioner and all cases accepted are managed and handled by me personally.
-
How do you conduct meetings?
Meetings are typically conducted via video or phone. In-person meetings can be arranged and please note, I will always wear an N-95 mask to meet.
